Job Description
JDW Building & Conservation Ltd are looking for a motivated individual to assist in the daily office activities of running a building and property investment company.
The role will involve:
Helping with the procurement of building materials including
- Working with directors and management.
- Sourcing of materials under the instruction of directors and management.
- Cross referencing quantities with project schedules.
- Liaising with suppliers to negotiate prices.
- Checking the availability of materials.
- Drafting orders on accounting software.
Assisting with H&S within the companies to include
- Compiling health and safety folders for sites.
- Working with site managers to ensure compliance.
- Complete forms, checks and submit applications.
- Creating risk assessments and method statements.
- Obtain RAMS and insurance from sub-contractors.
Taking orders from site and securing suppliers’ prices
- Placing orders with merchants and suppliers for materials and services.
- Inputting information into Xero accounting software.
- Scheduling deliveries.
- Keeping management and site updated delivery dates.
Updating purchase orders
- Updating purchase orders with delivery dates.
- Add project costs to sub-contractor purchase orders.
- Keep track of totals paid to sub-contractors.
Training and CPD
- Review training matrix.
- Arrange funding.
- Book courses.
- Update training matrix spreadsheet.
Liaising with tenants and agents for the management and maintenance of properties.
- Updating property software with documents.
- Booking sub-contractors for repairs, servicing, and maintenance.
- Generating and reviewing tenancy agreements.
- Create purchase orders for suppliers and contractors.
- Inputting invoices on accounting software.
Experience within the construction industry would be useful but further training will be given.
Excellent Wage/package is negotiable depending on experience.
