The Role: Motor Vehicle Mechanic Technician
The Chalfonts Motor Company is a family run business established and trusted in Chalfont St Peter, Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire since 1963 “CELEBRATING 60 YEARS”.
The company is involved in the sales, purchasing and servicing of motor vehicles and take pride in the excellent relationships with customers, this is proven due to the amount of repeat business enjoyed.
Location
Chalfont St Peter, Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire SL9 0JR
Hours
Full time – 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday; plus 9am – 12pm on Saturday mornings, MOT’s only, on a rota basis.
The Role
Experienced Mechanic/Technician with proven experience in a similar role with strong teamwork skills
- To carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to light vehicles;
- To carry out MOTs (beneficial but not essential).
- Ideally living within a 15-20 mile radius.
Key Responsibilities
- A good working knowledge of Auto electronics and Diagnostic systems;
- Ability to work unsupervised;
- Good time keeping, social skills and a team player;
- Good communication skills, the ability to meet/speak with customers to discuss their vehicles and provide your expert, technical opinion;
- Maintain high customer service levels that leads to customer loyalty/retention and referrals;
- Liaise with the Service Office with regards to estimates/quotes and ordering of parts;
- Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge;
Qualifications
- City & Guilds level 3 or equivalent;
- Other Professional qualifications;
- Current MOT licence with no penalties (beneficial but not essential);
- Driving Licence essential.
Training/Development Opportunities
- DVLA MOT courses plus other job specific courses as necessary.
Excellent Salary
- Circa £40,000 Gross per annum PAYE plus additional benefits and incentives.
