Electrician
Our client are commercial and industrial electrical contractors based on the border of London and Essex, and are looking for a Full Time Permanent (PAYE) Electrician to join the field-based staff.
Successful applicants will be expected to work mostly within Greater London and the Home Counties. You will be expected to drive so a full manual driving license is an essential requirement.
Summary of the role:
- Candidate will be required to have experience working at various types of premises including construction sites through to data centres.
- Driving between customer sites to attend scheduled and/or reactive works.
- Carrying out reactive and planned electrical maintenance.
- The successful candidate must be able to work self-sufficiently, and alongside other engineers/trades as required.
You will be expected to provide a comprehensive service supporting the delivery of products and services to our customer base.
To achieve this, the following will be expected of the successful candidate:
- Full Manual Drivers licence, ideally clean
- Compliance with Health and Safety and Company Policy.
- Maintenance and installation of electrical systems and associated disciplines.
- Experience working on customer premises as an electrician.
- Excellent communication and behavioural skills with good presentation (candidate will be required to liaise with end users, clients, security, building managers, and clients’ staff as appropriate)
- You must have a desire to learn and take constructive feedback to ensure the best result is always achieved for the client.
- Excellent time-keeping and communication with management on a daily basis.
- A desire to part of and benefit to the company, and to be part of a team.
- You must be able to embrace technology – from using IOS devices with our job management software to programming electrical devices to operate correctly (training will be supplied as required). Efficient communication using email and other electronic methods is extremely important.
- The successful candidate is expected to bring an energy to the role with ideas and enthusiasm to their daily tasks.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum – working towards NVQ 3 in Electricals
- Around 10 Years Practical experience
- Gold Card (Desired)
- 18th Edition
- Full UK Driver’s License (Required)

As part of the interview process you agree to undertake a written test and a practical assessment. You must be able to drive and have a full clean manual driving license.
For insurance reasons you must be at least 21 to drive the company vehicles.

Hourly rate based on grading by JIB and experience
Normal Hours Monday to Friday 07:30-16:30
Occasional weekend working by arrangement with our clients
