Job Description

Cladding Manager, Junior. Looking at details / technical issues / deliveries / installation. Engineer trained / background; must be extremely motivated and keen to learn. Ideally with experience in Unitised Cladding.

New residential development near North Acton for principal contractor. To help organise and run the cladding packages, looking at details and technical issues, progressing deliveries and installation. £195 – £210 per day on self-employed basis. 1-2 years’ work on this site with further projects nearby.

Cladding Manager, Junior. To work on a new development near North Acton. An immediate requirement to join a principal contractor working on this high-rise scheme. To help the cladding packages team and oversee the sub-contractors. A Junior Cladding Manager with a knowledge of unitised cladding.

The Project. A substantial mixed-use re-generation project that includes the construction of split-level blocks to 50 floors of residential units for private and affordable housing. The Company is a well-established Contractor with a good volume of substantial projects both on the ground and in the pipeline.

Background. You may have experience in working on substantial residential schemes, RC frames for hotels, commercial or leisure developments. Of major importance is the knowledge gained from working either for a relevant main contractor or relevant subcontractor. Great opportunity for career progression.

Project specific. The most important features are:

  • Understanding of the cladding and finishing procedures
  • Up to date Health & Safety training and awareness
  • The ability to help organise both direct and sub-contracted packages
  • IT skills for programming and reporting
  • A sense of professionalism in dealing with architects, clients and the site team
  • Grasp of the logistics involved in multi-storey projects
  • Good recording and reporting skills

Current CSCS certification, ideally SMSTS and First Aid, up to date knowledge of materials and relevant Health & Safety legislation is advantageous. Good IT skills, strong oral and written communication skills in English will be needed.

The intention is to take on someone who is keen and motivated and wants to work on projects of this nature and who can prove that they are ready to take on responsibility and challenges. References will be taken, so ensure these are available before applying.

Remuneration. A negotiable rate of £195 – £210 / shift. You must be legally entitled to live and work in the UK to be considered for the post.
