Position:  Business Development Manager

Reporting to:  The Managing Director  

Well established and respected Lighting Solutions manufacturer based in Aldridge , West Midlands are looking to augment their successful team with a Business Development manager to help in driving the business forward.

As an experienced Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for creating long term relationships with both new customers and a portfolio of assigned clients.  You should understand your customers’ demands, plan how to meet these demands and generate sales for the company as a result.

Reporting to the Managing Director your main responsibilities are outlined below;

1)    Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, and new partnerships

2)    Building relationships with new and existing customers to increase sales at improved margin

3)    Achieving monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales forecast

4)    Possess and or develop a strong understanding of the company’s products

5)    Collaborate with our technical and commercial teams to ensure that requirements are met.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be;

1)    Commercially aware and able to deliver profitable sales

2)    Have a proven track record of commercial success in a sales role

3)    Be organised and self-aware, consistently following up on leads and planning ahead

4)    Good IT skills

5)    Excellent communication and relationship building skills

6)    Drive and commitment to meet and exceed targets

 

Experience: B2B sales 2 years+ (preferred)

Lighting or Building Product sales (preferred)
