Job Description: Assembly Operative
An Exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading and well respected Emergency Lighting Solutions manufacturer based in Aldridge, West Midlands.
Department/Section: Assembly Department
Key tasks:
Ensure that Health & Safety is observed at all times.
Assist with the assembly of emergency lighting boxes, luminaires and conversions with the use of procedures, samples and work instructions.
Various operations i.e., preparation, assembling, test and packing to produce high quality product.
Comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards to maintain the Company’s accreditation.
At busy periods, duties may be required in other areas of the Company, such as Warehouse.
Keep the work area clean and maintained to provide efficient production
Perform any reasonable request as and when required.
Key results/objectives:
Produce high quality product.
Work with colleagues to ensure products are assembled in an efficient method and to specified deadlines.
Assist in achieving the relevant objectives and targets as set by the Manager.
Responsible for staff/equipment:
Monitor any equipment being used, report any function errors or changes in machine performance.
Reporting to: Manufacturing Manager – Lee Beaumont
Hours are 8-5, Monday to Thursday, 8 – 1.00 finish on a Friday.
There are opportunities for overtime and we would like people to have a flexible attitude to working additional hours.
Holidays – 20 days + Bank Holidays / Additional day after a qualification of 2 years for your birthday.
Salary – Minimum Wage for age.
