Hours: Permanent contract – 28 hours per week over 4 days on a Monday to Sunday 4-week rota
(with the requirement to provide additional coverage during periods of sickness and holidays)
Job Opportunity: Senior Care Assistant
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents. The position involves working 28 hours per week over 4 days on a Monday to Sunday 4-week rota, with an expectation to work extra hours to cover for sickness and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medication in accordance with care plans and medical guidelines
- Liaise with G.Ps, health care professionals, and family members to ensure comprehensive care for residents
- Provide hands-on care and support to residents with empathy and respect
- Collaborate with the care team to maintain a safe and nurturing environment
- Act as a reliable and trustworthy point of contact for both residents and their families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care plans and resident information
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and care home policies
Requirements:
- NVQ 3 or Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care as a minimum
- Enthusiastic, empathetic, reliable, and trustworthy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Previous experience as an Acting Senior or a desire to step into a permanent Senior Care Assistant role
- Flexibility to work on a Monday to Sunday rota and cover extra hours as needed
